Fun Facts about Orcas

You can spot orcas along the Eyre Peninsula, Fleurieu Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and Victor Harbor.

Orcas belong to the oceanic dolphin family, of which it is the largest member.

Their bodies are streamlined like a submarine, for moving through the water.

They move their flukes (tail) in an up and down motion to accelerate, the dorsal fin acts like the keel of a boat and keeps the whale from rolling side to side.
